Green Hands Sustainability Soiree

The St. Johns County (SJC) Cultural Events Division, in partnership with Edible Northeast (NE) Florida Magazine and the US Green Building Council, present the inaugural Green Hands Sustainability Soiree, an event highlighting the conservation and protection of Northeast Florida’s greatest natural resources. The Green Hands Sustainability Soiree will feature local non-profit organizations, a wine and cheese reception hosted by Whole Foods Market, live music and a screening of the documentary “Tapped” at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sunday, June 26.

The communities of Northeast Florida are invited to the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall for an afternoon of activities focusing on water issues including its protection and conservation as well as the relationship between food, culture and the environment. Local non-profit organizations including the GTM Research Reserve, Giving Greens and more will be onsite to educate attendees on the wide variety of water and natural resource issues in our region. Attendees are invited to enjoy a wine and cheese reception hosted by Whole Foods Market and live music by local singer/songwriter Chelsea Saddler.

The Sustainability Soiree will culminate with a screening of “Tapped” – the award-wining documentary that provides a behind-the-scenes look into the unregulated and unseen world of the bottled water industry and examines its role and effect on our health, climate change, pollution and our reliance on oil. The Sustainability Soiree is free and open to the public.

Doors will open at 4pm. Live music from Chelsea Saddler and the Whole Foods Market Wine and Cheese Reception will take place from 4pm to 6pm. "Tapped" will begin at 6pm.

The Green Hands Sustainability Soiree is presented in concert with the launch of Edible NE Florida’s Water Issue (on stands now through June) and the SJC Cultural Events Division Green Hands Initiative. The Green Hands Initiative is a commitment made by the SJC Cultural Events Division, which owns and operates the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, to establish and maintain operating practices that align with the mission of conserving valuable resources and reducing unnecessary waste within our industry, our community and our world.

Can't make this show in Ponte Vedra, try the Green Hands Sustainability Fest in St. Augustine.
