Green hands sustainability fest event in St. Augustine Florida
Join local sustainability advocates for an afternoon of live music, food and a documentary movie.

The community is invited to the inaugural Green Hands Sustainability Fest, a celebratory and educational festival highlighting the conservation and protection of Northeast Florida’s greatest natural resources. The Green Hands Sustainability Fest will feature local non-profit organizations, food trucks, live music and a screening of the documentary “Tapped” at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

Beginning at 4pm on Saturday, June 25, the community is invited to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre for an afternoon of activities focusing on water issues including its protection and conservation as well as the relationship between food, culture and the environment. Local non-profit organizations including the GTM Research Reserve, Keepers of the Coast, Giving Greens, Matanzas Riverkeeper, Whitney Laboratory and more will be onsite to educate attendees on the wide variety of water and natural resource issues in our region.

Live music by Aslyn & The Naysayers, Kenny and The Jets, Teresa Rose and Ghost Tropic will take place throughout the afternoon and several food trucks will be on site as well.

The Sustainability Fest will culminate with a screening of “Tapped” – the award-wining documentary that provides a behind-the-scenes look into the unregulated and unseen world of the bottled water industry and examines its role and effect on our health, climate change, pollution and our reliance on oil. All events during the Sustainability Fest are free, family-friendly and open to the public.

Festival gates open at 4pm and "Tapped" will begin at 8pm.

The Green Hands Sustainability Fest is presented in concert with the launch of Edible NE Florida’s Water Issue (on stands now through June) and the SJC Cultural Events Division Green Hands Initiative. The Green Hands Initiative is a commitment made by the SJC Cultural Events Division, which owns and operates the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, to establish and maintain operating practices that align with the mission of conserving valuable resources and reducing unnecessary waste within our industry, our community and our world.
